Film: “KalyanRam Kathi”;
Producer: Kalyan Ram;
Director: Mallikarjun;

Camera: Sarvesh Murari;
Cast: Kalyan Ram,
Sana Khan, Saranya Mohan, Shaam, and others.

Nandamuri Kalyan Ram has been trying hard to score a hit from a long time. The actor did not taste the success after his debut film, ‘Athanokkade’. His ‘Hey Ram’ remained as an average film in his career. Apart from these two films, any of his film titles hardly remains in the minds of audience. His ‘KalyanRam Kathi’ has hit the big screens world-wide today. Let’s take a look on the details of ‘Kathi’ and know how sharp it really is!
Story: Ramakrishna (Kalyan Ram) is a foot ball player who strives for a chance to play for Indian team. He has a big caring family with two brothers their wives, children along with a younger sister, Haritha (Saranya Mohan). He likes Haritha very much that he does anything for her. Haritha always brings troubles her way by making wrong choices and Ramakrisna rescues her. Likewise chooses a wrong partner Krishna Mohan (Shaam) who is a son of businessman (Kota Srinivasa Rao). Krishna Mohan marries her to take revenge on her as Haritha slaps him when he tries to woo her. Rama Krishna who gets selected for Nationals comes to know this and makes the things right at her in-laws place. How does he do this? And what problems he faces at her sister’s place? and finally what happens is all about the story?
Analysis:
The movie is just like the old sister sentiment formula, where we remember many films of that genre while watching the film. The story writer tried to blend the sister sentiment with a faction concept. Though the movie started off well, it looks like going out of plot when moving towards the main story. The second half starts off with a routine story of an unhappy wife, hard hearted husband, and a cruel father in law etc. By Knowing all this too, her brother tries to win over these villains by choosing easy path with no justification to either hero’s characterization or the title.

Performances:
Kalyan Ram is good in his role and shined in action sequences. He needs to take care in his expressions as well in comedy scenes. Saranya Mohan carried out the sister role quite well. Sana is okay with her limited role. Shaam comes out with single expression all through the film. Kota Srinivasa Rao excelled in the villain role. Brahmanandam, Dharmavarpu, Venu Madhav are okay in their respective roles.
Bottom line:
KalyanRam Kathi is an old stuff with outdated scenes. People who are looking for freshness can calmly avoid it by just reading the movie review.
